About
Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Raised in a Muslim home. Then Jesus came looking for me, and nothing has been the same since.
If you have been waiting for permission to step into who God created you to be, you don't need permission. You need activation. You're in the right place.
How Jesus Found Me
I was born in Lubumbashi, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, into a Muslim family. As a little girl I asked my mother why we kept doing the same religious activities over and over again. She smiled and told me it was our family tradition, passed down so I could pass it on to the next generation. Her answer played in my mind again and again. Something in my heart told me there must be more.
When I was ten, I traveled with my grandmother to a new city and stayed with an extended cousin who believed in Jesus and secretly prayed for me. One night I listened to her young children say their bedtime prayers. They talked to God in simple words, like He was right there with them. Nothing was memorized. I had never heard anything like it, and I never forgot it.
My teenage years were hard. My parents separated, I was sent to live with relatives in another city, and eventually my family made the difficult decision to send me to Canada for a better life. I was glad and sad at the same time, leaving the country and the people I loved to start again.
As a young adult I would sit at the back of the church and mock the pastor's teaching. Then one Sunday I felt a tug in my heart. It wasn't something, it was Someone. His presence covered me, and I heard a whisper: "It is me." I saw Jesus in a vision. I was afraid of what my family and community would think, so I resisted. But He didn't give up on me. He came again and told me that if I came to Him, He would forgive me for everything I had done. He showed me where my life was heading without Him, and that no one on this earth could rescue me from my pain except Him.
So I said yes: "Jesus, I give You my life. I surrender everything." I felt so much peace and joy. He embraced me and told me I was forgiven. I didn't find a new religion that day. I found a Father who loves me without conditions.
That encounter didn't just save me. It unlocked a call to help others find what I found: true identity, deep healing, and a purpose that doesn't make sense until God breathes on it.
